Bookshelf 112B in birch by Alvar Aalto

After launching his career in Finland during the early modernist period in the 1930's, the Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in the forties started a production of his furniture in Sweden. The factory was called Aalto Möbler Hedemora, namned after the small town, were the production took place.

This classic design is made in birch, and is in very good original condition. These old Aalto pieces are hard to find, with this beautiful original finish and patina. This piece includes three shelves and two original wall mounts. The latter are often missing, because people left them on the walls, when moving.
If preferred, the shelves can be mounted separately.
